It is factual that there are more people being diagnosed with Mesothelioma everyday. People that were exposed to asbestos many years ago are today becoming ill from it. Asbestos was used in building materials many years ago. It was used in residential homes as well as office buildings and also in our schools. That means thousands of people were being exposed to this deadly material and no one knew the results. Once we learned it was a dangerous material it had been in these buildings for a long time exposing many people during all stages of their lives. It was then removed but with many victims being effected. When you are diagnosed with Mesothelioma there is a mesothelioma survival rate of about five years. Of course this also depends on being diagnosed in the early stages. As you can tell this is a very serious form of cancer. If you do not get diagnosed in the early stages of of this form of cancer the survival rate lowers dramatically. If you are diagnosed in the later stages there is no cure or treatment and the prognosis is much more grave.
